DESCRIPTION:TOMAH ROTARY CLUB TO HOST CANDIDATES' FORUM\n\n \n\nThe Tomah Rotary Club\, a recognized nonpartisan organization\, will present two Candidates' Forum on Thursday\, March 19th from 6-8pm.\n\n \n\nThursday\, March 19\, 2026\n\n6:00 PM: City of Tomah   Mayor & Alderperson Forum\n\n7:00 PM: Tomah Area School District   School Board Forum\n\nLocation: Cranberry Country Lodge | 319 Wittig Road\, Tomah\, WI\n\n \n\nMayor Candidates: Incumbent Mayor Paul Dwyer is being challenged by Remy Gomez.\n\n\n\nAlderperson Candidates: Running for Tomah's City Council are Richard Yarrington-District 2 (incumbent\, unopposed)\; Shawn Zabinski-District 4 (incumbent\, unopposed)\; and Dean Peterson-District 8 (incumbent\, unopposed). The current Alderperson for District 6 is not seeking reelection. Running for District 6 are Daniel Crego and Eric Devine. \n\n\n\nTASD School Board Candidates: There are three incumbents running for school board including Rick Murray\, Susan Bloom\, and Mike Gnewikow.  Vying for the three open school board seats are Joseph Ingalls\, Ryan De Freitas\, and Vaughn Kuel.\n\n  \n\nForum Format: Each candidate will have a timed opportunity to introduce themselves. Lots will be drawn to determine order and then will follow a round robin format. A moderator will ask preset questions. Each candidate will have a timed opportunity to answer the question. All questions will be vetted for appropriateness and content. Each forum will end with a timed opportunity to present their closing thoughts.\n\n \n\nThe public is encouraged to attend the forums. Spring Election Day will be on April 7\, 2026. Polls are open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM in Wisconsin. Voting for City of Tomah residents will be at Recreation Park\, located at 1625 Butts Avenue in Tomah. Voters living outside of the city of Tomah will need to check their voting locations with their township or village. Members of the public who would like their question considered at the forum should send their question via email to tomahrotaryclub@gmail.com. Questions may not be directed towards just one candidate\, the question must be addressed to all candidates. Deadline to submit questions is Thursday\, March 12th\, 2026.
