CATERING AND FOOD SERVICE - REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL:
The Tomah Chamber and Visitors Center is seeking proposals from businesses or non-profit organizations for catering and food service for Monroe County Business After 5, Night at the County Fair on Wednesday, July 22
nd, 2026.
Proposals will be accepted via email and must be sent to
tthompson@tomahwisconsin.com. Please note that proposals must be received no later than 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Proposals received after the date and time specified may be rejected. The received time and date is the time and date that the email is received. Shortly after the due date/time, proposals will be reviewed. Award, if any, will be made as soon thereafter as possible.
Conditions of RFP
- This is not a binding contract, merely a solicitation for a proposal.
- The Tomah Chamber and Visitors Center reserves the right to select the final proposal or reject all proposals.
- Proposal should include workers to serve the food as well as all set up, clean up, and tear down of food and food service equipment.
- Proposal should include the number of 8-foot tables that we will need to supply, if any.
- Proposal should include a complete list of costs. The Chamber will not authorize payment for anything over the agreed upon price proposed.
- Proposal should include a breakdown of costs per plate, to include any taxes or gratuities.
- The winning bidder is responsible for all supplies necessary to prepare and serve the food.
- The winning bidder is responsible for supplying all disposable plates, silverware, napkins, condiments, etc. needed to make the meal a success.
- The winning bidder should be set up and ready to begin serving meals by 4:45 PM on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, and be prepared to serve up to 400 plates within 30 minutes.
- Preference will be given to businesses or non-profits located in Monroe County, Wisconsin.
Event Overview
Held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the Monroe County Fair Grounds, the Monroe County Business After 5 at the County Fair is a county-wide event open to all businesses in Monroe County, Wisconsin. This event is organized by the Tomah Chamber and Visitors Center. Many sponsors step forward to make this event a success. Sponsors contribute to the cost of the food as well as door prizes for the event. Attendance for this event is typically around 400 people and is open to all businesses in Monroe County. The event continues in the event of rain. Beer, soda, and custard are all donated as well as tent, emcee services, and sound equipment.
