Power To The People Program - AAUW Tomah WI Branch
For over 140 years, AAUW (American Association of University Women) has focused on gender equity and the rights of women in education and the workplace. The Tomah affiliate of AAUW will kick off its 54th program year with a presentation entitled, Power to the People, on Tuesday, September 22.
Power to the People will provide participants with information on where to find the most updated and factual information on the upcoming election scheduled for November 3. True power lies with the people. Awareness and active participation are critical for social change, democracy, and justice. Since our vote is our power in our democracy, it is imperative that all citizens exercise their vote to have their voice heard.
The Power to the People presentation will be held at the Tomah Senior Center starting at 6:00 p.m. Any interested member of the community is invited to attend. AAUW is a non-partisan organization, and the presentation will not be endorsing any candidates for public office.
