The Tomah Area School District has the following vacancy beginning January 20, 2025:      
 
High School Cross-Categorial Special Education Teacher
Tomah High School is seeking an innovative educator who can work collaboratively with colleagues, develop positive relationships with students and parents, and build partnerships with the community.  This position requires a dynamic and progressive teacher who has a strong background in:  1) RtI and PBIS, 2) Professional Learning Communities, and 3) Differentiated Instruction.  The preferred candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized and demonstrate a positive attitude.  Knowledge of special education programs, processes, and procedures is preferred, especially functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention plans.  Candidates must have knowledge of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) or ProACT) strategies and techniques, or willingness to be trained.  Background in mental health practices and high school level curriculum is also preferred.
This is a full-time position starting January 20, 2025. Co-curricular coaching and advisor positions are available.
Qualifications:  Must have, or must receive prior to the first day of work, appropriate licensure for the position as determined by state law and the District.
