This position is located at McCoy's, the central hub of activity at Fort McCoy, WI. This large facility includes Dining, Sports Bar, Bowling Center, Recreation and Leisure Activities and Conference and Catering Spaces

Announcement will have a first cutoff date of July 23, 2026, applicants that submit a complete application packet prior to that date and found eligible may be given first consideration.
Duties:

  • Manages a business activity as an assistant manager. Supervises assigned staff. Represents the activity to the public.
  • Recommends and enforces operating procedures of a Food and Beverage Facility.
  • Conducts surveys, reviews activity reports and makes recommendations concerning services, promotional activities and revenue improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Conditions of employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation to include Supervisor of Minor Checks.
  • Pre-employment physical is required.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license to operate a government vehicle to make bank runs and for outdoor events.
  • Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
  • Uniform and name tags are provided and required.
  • Operation is 7 days a week, shift may vary due to mission. Will be required to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  • A minimum of six (6) months supervisory experience
  • Cash handling experience
  • Food service experience

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
