Maintenance Tech I - Night Shift - Wyeville Plant
Iron Oak Energy is seeking a night-shift Maintenance Tech I who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Wyeville, WI. Plant location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative, predictive and emergency maintenance on industrial equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, controls, PLCs, VFDs and wiring (up to 480V).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical components such as conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams for accurate repairs and installations.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdown to restore production with minimal disruption.
- Install, modify and upgrade machinery and electrical components as needed.
- Complete and track maintenance work orders using CMMS systems.
- Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments and part replacements.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and MSHA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with operators and incoming shifts regarding equipment status and ongoing issues.
- Work independently during night shift operations with minimal supervision.
- Perform welding and light fabrication for equipment repairs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and uptime.
Minimum Qualifications:
Skills & Abilities
- Must be able to wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- 2-3 years of experience preferred.
Desirable
- Training in industrial electricity & troubleshooting electrical control circuits
- Training in replacing and troubleshooting electrical motors
- Training in welding and metal fabrication
- Training in industrial fluid power and pumping systems
- Training in mechanical drives & power transmission
- Previous experience within mining operations (preferably sand)
- Previous experience in a maintenance role (at least two years)
- Previous exposure to preventative maintenance strategies
- Must be able to read manuals, blueprints, and electrical diagrams
- Demonstrated experience contributing to a team of professionals to deliver against set targets
- Demonstrated commitment to safety with previous experience
