About Us
Warrens is the Cranberry Capital of Wisconsin and at the Cranberry Discovery Center, you can learn everything you want to know about Wisconsin’s No. 1 fruit crop. Our 4,800-square foot exhibit hall details the history of the state’s cranberry industry from the days when Native Americans gathered fruit in the wild to today’s unique growing and harvesting methods.
We have interactive exhibits, including a cranberry corralling game where you can test your skill and an activity area for younger visitors. Items on display a log cabin used by a local carpenter for making cranberry hand rakes, one of the first cranberry harvesting machines and an old-time Bailey cranberry sorting mill. Learn about the history of our 125-year-old building, the historical Union Cranberry Warehouse, and the wildlife that makes cranberry marshes their home.
Before or after your tour, stop for a bite to eat at Shirley Ann's Cafe. The cafe is open for breakfast and lunch, plus our Friday Night Fish Fry. Or stop for an ice cream cone or sundae at our vintage ice cream parlor.
Our gift shop offers Wisconsin-made gourmet food products, award-winning cranberry wines, locally made cranberry candles, cranberry soaps and lotions, seasonal decor and much more!
