Middle School Career & Technical Education (CTE) Teacher - Grades 6-8
Tomah Middle School is seeking an innovative, student-centered educator who is passionate about helping students discover their interests, talents, and future possibilities through hands-on learning experiences.
This is more than a traditional teaching position. We are looking for someone ready to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence in middle school students while helping them explore career pathways and real-world problem solving.
The successful candidate will teach:
- Introduction to Woods (high school credit course) for 8th grade students
- Project Lead the Way (PLTW) coursework for 7th grade students
- A technology-focused exploratory course for 6th grade students
Candidates should possess:
- A passion for hands-on, project-based learning
- The ability to establish strong, positive relationships with students, staff, families, and the community
- Knowledge of current instructional practices and methodologies in Career & Technical Education
- The ability to support students with diverse learning needs
- Experience integrating technology into meaningful learning opportunities
- A growth mindset and willingness to innovate and collaborate
- Project-Based Learning
- Project Lead the Way (PLTW)
- Professional Learning Communities (PLC)
- WiMLSS
- Universal Design for Learning (UDL) or Differentiated Instruction
- Career Exploration and Technical Education pathways
- Technology integration and applied learning experiences
