#859- Nutrition Service Assistant: M–F, 6:00am-2:30pm (8 hrs/day) year-round position to begin on or around May 1st

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must pass the District's Nutrition Team Leader Test and District Clerk Test. Demonstrates competencies in reading, writing, math, and typing skills using multiple computer programs. Must possess the necessary interpersonal skills to deal courteously, cooperatively and effectively with students, teachers, co-workers, administrators, and the public. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in a food service environment. Experience in large quantity cooking and school food service is preferred.  Personnel supervision and management experience are preferred. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license required. Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted. An ability to decipher recipes and knowledge of basic mathematics is also required.  Wisconsin Restaurant Manager Certification required, or employee must get with in first year in position. High School Diploma required.   Maintaining confidentiality is essential as the position entails working with sensitive student/parent financial information.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                      
COMPENSATION: Wage will be in compliance with the employee handbook for the time worked.  The position is Monday–Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm (8 hrs/day) year-round position.
 
DUTIES (may include but not limited to the following)
      -  Maintaining all recordkeeping for Nutrition Service related, State and Federal Programs
      - Maintaining student records and money related to the Nutrition Service Programs
      -  Process invoices, count and deposit cash monies taken in by the program
      - Process and maintain federal meal applications
      - Answer the telephone, take messages, screen calls, and help coordinate the daily calendar
      - Communicate effectively using email and all other forms of communication
      - Word processing and data entry as assigned by the Director of Nutrition Services
      - Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to central and outlying kitchen staff
      - Monitor and maintain all daily records of the central and outlying kitchens production
      - Assist the Director of Nutrition Service by applying and monitoring proper sanitation and regulations
      - Operate POS System food service computer for recording meals
      - May assist in operating equipment, food preparation, cleaning, food delivery, and other kitchen duties
      - Any other duties assigned by your Supervisor
