The Tomah Area School District has the following vacancy beginning in the 2024-2025 school year:

EL Teacher (K-12)
Tomah Area School District is seeking an innovative educator who can work collaboratively with colleagues, develop positive relationships with students and parents, and build partnerships with the community.  This position requires a dynamic and progressive teacher who has a strong background in:  1) RtI and PBIS, 2) Professional Learning Communities, and 3) Differentiated Instruction.  The preferred candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized and demonstrate a positive attitude.  The EL Teacher provides English language development instruction to students who are acquiring English as an additional language and works collaboratively with other instructional employees to meet the individual needs of each student. Duties may include:  Evaluates the language needs of students, administers required language proficiency and academic achievement tests, utilizes language teaching strategies to increase English proficiency for students, serves as a resource to classroom teachers to help EL students achieve, and perform all other duties as assigned by Administration.  Travel between schools is required.
 
This is a full-time position.  Co-curricular coaching and advisor positions are available. 
 
Qualifications:  Must have, or must receive prior to the first day of work, appropriate licensure for the position as determined by state law and the District.
