REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The candidate would have the following:
 

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must successfully pass district custodial and food service written and physical assessments
  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and safety procedures
  • Valid driver's license with a responsible driving record
  • Aged 21 or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Wisconsin CDL with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements-District-sponsored training is available
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Maintenance and Facilities
  • Perform general building maintenance and assigned maintenance tasks
  • Assist with receiving, moving, and distributing district supplies and freight
  • Properly operate and maintain hand tools, hardware, and maintenance equipment
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, snow blowers, and other machinery as needed
  • Monitor facilities and report major maintenance concerns
  • Help maintain building safety and security
Food Service
  • Set up cafeteria and serving lines
  • Prepare and cook menu items, including entrees, vegetables, salads, and other food products
  • Properly store, handle, and inventory food products and supplies
  • Follow recipes, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures
Custodial Services
  • Clean and disinfect buses, kitchens, cafeterias, entrances, restrooms, and other district facilities
  • Perform biohazard and specialized cleaning as needed
  • Clean windows, mirrors, tables, equipment, dishes, and other surfaces
  • Remove trash and maintain sanitary conditions throughout assigned areas
Transportation
  • Assist with transportation-related duties as assigned
  • Maintain appropriate student behavior while operating district vehicles
  • Report student discipline concerns and incidents to supervisors
  • Complete required documentation and comply with federal regulations
General Duties
  • Report accidents and safety concerns promptly
  • Complete daily paperwork and records accurately
  • Follow all district policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
 
COMPENSATION:  Compensation will be based on the provisions outlined in the District Employee Handbook and will correspond to the duties performed and hours worked.
