The Tomah Area School District has the following teaching vacancy beginning in the 2024-2025 school year:
 
            Special Education Teacher (Grades 4K–5th Grade) – LaGrange Elementary        
The Tomah Area School District is accepting applications for a full-time special education teacher to serve 4K and elementary students needing special education services beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.  Candidates for this position must possess the skills and knowledge needed to provide the support services necessary for students with disabilities to achieve educational success.  Knowledge of special education programs, processes, and procedures is preferred, especially functional behavioral assessments.  Excellent communication skills are required; the ability to communicate effectively with students and their caregivers is essential.  Flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively with special education teachers, regular education teachers and colleagues are desired.  Ability to create and maintain a developmentally appropriate classroom consistent with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards.  Experiences working with 4K and elementary aged students and to assist with toileting and/or changing of diapers are preferred.  Must have the ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.  Travel between schools is required.
 
This is a full-time position starting in the 2024-25 school year.  Co-curricular coaching and advisor positions are available.
 
Qualifications:  Must have, or must receive prior to the first day of work, appropriate licensure for the position as determined by state law and the District.
